Recognizing Stealing Opportunities When Someone Else Is

A lot of
times in poker, especially online, people will sit out of the game
for whatever reason. When this happens, players that are alert
will usually try to steal that person's big blind especially when
the blinds are higher. When this happens, if you suspect this,
i.e. the same person keeps raising the player that's sitting out
when they're in the BB, you have a good stealing opportunity.
In this sample, a very tight player only limps in to steal the
blinds, but watching his previous plays, it appeared to me to be a
weak attempt to steel the guys blinds, so I made a raise then a
continuation bet and took down the pot.
